Brandon and I have been working on a couple of projects around the house and with guests coming over for Easter dinner we wanted to get them completed as soon as possible. So the first one is our dining room table. We bought this table with 8 chairs from a garage sale in 2009. It has served us well! It was a really disgusting oak color. You know that orange "i am cheap" color that oak tends to be (in my opinion). So we stained it back in 2009 a darker color but it still looked old fashioned and so we wanted to spice it up a little bit and give it some class. I absolutely love it now!
So these are the "before pictures" although you can see that we are already using chemicals to get the stain off. It's a nice table...we just wanted to make more...our style.
THE BIG REVEAL
As you can see we need new chairs so we are going to put a long bench on one side (on Brandon's Honey-Do list) and two chairs on the other side. On the ends we want to get some awesome wing-backs or some really neat eclectic type chairs. We are still debating on that one.
Another project we finished a month or so ago and haven't posted about is our "breakfast table." This is the first table we did with the white bottom/dark top and thats how we knew we would LOVE it.

Our next project is to re-do these cabinets and make them white with a nice brown glaze. We will let you know how that goes! (our walls are no longer yellow....they are a cream/beige color just an FYI)
